We have officially been running our Ambassador Program since 2018. Each year we meet some awesome, talented riders who are not only handy on the bike but also great people who represent everything we love about the sport. When we look for riders to support their vibe off the bike is as important as on it. It's not always about being the fastest out there, we want to see riders who love the sport, ambassadors for riding bike as much as for MTB Beds.
In 2021 we are upping the game as we try to every year. A mix of characters, some you probably know and maybe others you don't. For us it's about generating hype for you, hype on riding bikes in some of the best locations on the planet. We aim to mix riders who can bring the energy and represent the brands vision, with supporting riders who we think deserve some time in front of the camera.
JONO JONES
Jono Jones is all about how to have fun on a bike. He's got the talent and pace to be racing World Cups but yet approaches everything about the sport with a happy go lucky attitude. Despite his natural ability he's grounded enough to hold down a full time city job aswell as keep the racing going and the sponsors happy, what a guy.
Whether filming or riding with the guy it's impossible not to have a smile on your face. Everytime we've ridden with him has been memorable, a great human and bloody good on a bike, we're stoked to have Jono on board and we reckon he's pretty pumped for 2021 aswell.....
Age, years riding and describe your riding in one word
26 years old, despite a couple of years distracted by skateboarding and wakeboarding (I sucked) I've been riding for most of them!
Current bikes?
Pivot Pheonix 29er and Pivot Switchblade.
You can only take one of your bikes away for a week to Morzine, which one do you take and why?
The DH bike....if there's a chairlift going up I want the tool for going down!
Best mountain biking memory?
Racing World Champs at Leogang as a junior. Crazy week and so cool to be part of a national squad like that. Rain was forecast for race day so I put tear offs on to practice pulling them in the air like some of the pros would do. I grabbed all of them (and a bit of the goggle strap), pulled my goggle frame over my eye, missed the handlebar with my hand when I landed the jump and flew off track over the hard landing with my neck on an electric fence. WHAT A BUZZ.
What MTB Beds location would you be most excited to ride?
Morzine has a special place in my heart, I don't think I've had a year in the past decade where I've not been - but as I ride more and more trail/enduro bikes I think Finale is calling my name louder and louder....can I say both?!
@jono_jones1 is a must follow on Instagram for loamy Surrey Hills shreds and quality content, give it a whirl!
MATT ROE
Matt Roe returns to our ambassador program for 2021. Bringing he's BMX inspired steeze mixed with mountain bike speed and style this guy is a joy to watch. Also on board with Specialized, Peaty's and Fox we're stoked to add a little something extra to Matt's calendar.
Matt couldn't make it to Morzine last summer, so we are chomping at the bit to get him over here to show us what he can do in front of a camera, though he did stay with us as a client afew years ago.
Age, years riding and describe your riding in one word
35, always payed on a bike since I could walk, but BMX 21 years and MTB for 6 years, one word? Fun
Current bikes?
A fleet of Specialized, Enduro, Stumpy Evo, Status and the new Turbo Levo.
You can only take one of your bikes away for a week to Morzine, which one do you take and why?
To be honest, never thought I'd say it but the Turbo Levo, a bloody E-Bike haha! It's the funnest bike I've ever ridden, so diverse, doesn't feel heavy and you can go anywhere with it. Mullet bikes are the bollox!!! Second would be the Status, what a play bike!!!
Best mountain biking memory?
The time me and the lads drove to Morzine to stay with MTB Beds, the bloody thing only did 50mph. It was well worth the mission, had the best time riding bikes, drinking beers and being in the mountains. It is an amazing feeling. It is an amazing feeling turning up somewhere and everything is taken care of for you. No worries just a great time and delicious food.
What MTB Beds location would you be most excited to ride?
Would love to try all the locations out, each one will have it's own vibe. A feeling you can't beat!
Make sure you give Matt a follow on his Instagram here, get hyped for nose bonks, tweaked whips and mad drifts 🤘
Bastien is someone you may recognise from 2020. We love watching this Frenchie's progression every year and in 2020, he produced some of our best content, he's one of a group of fast young locals who have clearly taken growing up in the mountains and running with it.
Last year was a bit of a non starter on several projects we had planned for Bastien so we're hoping in 2021 we can get them and many more off the ground.

Jimmy Smith
We love Jimmy Smith.
We've been riding Morzine with Jimmy since day 1 of MTB Beds and you can't not have a good time. A dust flinging stoke machine, Jimmy always brings the stoke to the trail with a massive grin and plenty of style on the bike. The lads fast, his sparring partner Lee Huskinson is the undisputed King of Pleney, does this make Jimmy the Prince? Maybe!
