Les Gets is a favourite stop on the circuit for all the riders, it's like coming home for many of them with Morzine used as a base of operations for many of the Worlds fastest racers during the summer. The French always come out in force for a bike race and this only gets the athletes even more hyped to put on a show, either you're one of the fast Frenchies wanting that medal on home soil or from the rest of the world, who all without exception love to beat the French at World Champs!

The fans will be back in force for the World Champs in 2022

The World Cup in 2021 was an outstanding event, despite Covid-19 lurking and the rain coming on race day, an awesome track loved by every racer and fans out in force brought the best out in the riders. Though hard to pick a highlight Tahnee Seagrave overcoming a hard season and topping the podium, kind of on home soil being an ex Morzine local and Reece Wilson's absolute heroics in finals have to be up there.

What to expect from the World Championships

Noise and lots of it. Every race in Les Gets since 1998 has been HUGE. The Mont Chery hill is steep and the old track, already a favourite amongst the downhill field has been moved further to the riders right of the hill and the new line is unreal. Steep, natural, taped wide with plenty of line choice and also enough to scare the worlds fastest racers into respecting it, it is a beast.

The fans in France are something else, they love a day out and rival the Fort William crowd for stoke levels, probably going even further when their Lord Loic Bruni drops into the finish, the spearhead of the French but certainly not the only contender for the top spot on race day.

How to watch the Les Gets World Championships
Grany and his mate Jean Claude will be out in full party mode all week long

The XC short track and 4X events will also draw a great crowd, held on the Chavannes side of the hill and in the early evening, it'll be a week for the ages.
