Morzine and its lift system has been creating a big stir in the village lately, with rumors of the Pleney bubble lift in Morzine being closed all Summer due to its imminent replacement with a new lift for next winter and the full closure of all the Morzine Trails. BUT fear not as local business owners and residents have caused a stir of their own and demanded a solution to the matter. It has now been announced that, yes the Pleney bubble will be closed and a new lift installed however there will still be access to the Pleney Trails and the Morzine side of the mountain, this also keeps the vital link with Les Get also open.

So what will happen is the “La Cruzas” Chair that runs over the luge track is open daily from 8-10AM providing the early birds with a link to Les Gets for the day. Then the second lift, “La Mouilles” up the Pleney side will open and be open all day providing access to the higher trails on the Morzine side. There will also be four busses per hour taking riders over to Les Gets all day and a new trail to make the return link from Les Gets back to Morzine has also been commissioned and is due to start soon.

So fear not people the famous Pleney trails of Morzine will still be accessible this summer and its looks like some new development to make the trails better are also being put in place. So book up that summer holiday to Morzine and come ride your favorite trails. We have a huge range of self-catered and catered accommodation in Morzine for your perusal on our website.
