Mountain biking is inherently risky, and there is nothing worse than wrecking expensive bikes while on the trails. Yellow Jersey mountain bike insurance is designed to cover your bike (also hire bikes), accessories and riding kit for crash damage and theft, anywhere in the world. Yellow Jersey offers three tiers of cover: Essentials, Performance and Ultimate. For anyone visiting our European destinations, Just remember that the Essentials policy does not provide any cover for your bike in Europe! For those going further afield than Europe, travelling for more than 30 days or racing, you’ll need Ultimate cover. Remember, bicycle insurance only covers your bike, it does not offer the same coverage as Travel Insurance

The Performance policy covers your bike in Europe for up to 30 days at a time, while the Ultimate policy covers your bike worldwide for up to 120 days at a time. Be warned, not all insurance is created equal and getting the wrong policy can be very costly. Yellow Jersey mountain bike travel insurance is designed to cover high-risk activities including downhill, all mountain, enduro and XC riding anywhere in the world. Cover includes emergency medical expenses, trip cancellation, trip abandonment, liability cover, baggage delay and much, much more. Normally, these forms of mountain biking are a straight-up exclusion on ‘High street’ policies, leaving you to foot the bill for expensive medical treatment and, god forbid, Heli rescue (Yes, Yellow Jersey travel insurance covers heli evacuation). Just remember, Yellow Jersey Travel insurance does not cover your bicycle for damage, for that, you need mountain bike insurance.
